Connecting
For most Windows machines, go to Start-->Run--> and type "telnet dx.413ma.org"
If you have Vista, you need to go to your control panel and enable the telnet client (it comes "off" as the factory default). They have also hid the "run" box in Vista, so you can either search for it and use the above method, or open your telnet client (you will also have to search for this) and type "o dx.413ma.org".

Other Information
-
The cluster runs spots from HF to VHF, and displays both local and DX. Expect much heavier traffic during contest weekends. You can set your user filters to adjust the spots you see. Read the AR-Cluster V.4 User Manual (available from the link above) to see how.
-
Remember, never trust the spotted callsign! Copy it yourself...we make no accuracy guarantees for other users! Remember to make sure you don't spot every station that calls your run if your logging program has a "spot all" feature; sometimes the computer doesn't realize you're running and not S&P'ing.
-
Self-spotting is frowned upon, and even illegal in some contests. The "cluster police" will be all over you.
-
To post a spot in the raw stream, type "dx callsign frequency comment." To spot ZZ1ZZ on 21300.5 and comment that he was loud, I would type "DX ZZ1ZZ 21300.5 loud in W1."
-
If you believe something is wrong (i.e. "I'm not getting any spots!") check the user manual first, then begin troubleshooting at your end. Then, email us and we can troubleshoot on this end.

Our node will be on 24/7, 365 days/year. Login with your callsign. Access is open and (obviously) offered at no charge to the amateur community. Contact sysop.
